Project FLARETPOL

FLARETPOL or Development of an innovative, cost-effective technology to produce halogen-free high performance flame-retarded polypropylene, is a collaborative project which aims to produce nanocomposites of polypropylene encapsulating nano-sized inorganic materials to imbue flame retardency to the polymer while retaining the desired physical properties of the material.

The project involves organisations from across the EU and Associated States, bringing together the required expertise and knowledge to achieve its multi-disciplinary objectives.

This project is being carried out under the European Union Framework 6 Programme, and involves 12 partners from across Europe and Associated States. Further information on EU research projects and their objectives is given.
